If you want to sew on a sewing machine, you need to be familiar with the parts first. You wouldn't drive a car without knowing what the gear shift, blinkers, or emergency brake do, would you? The first lesson in the "Before You Start Sewing" series teaches you the essential parts of the sewing machine. Every sewing machine model is a little different from the next, but the parts look very similar. Use the images below in combination with the video to familiarize yourself with your machine before you start sewing.
